Baxter, then Herman, before Dreams and Wishes

 Baxter after several months of recovery at Dreams!

 Baxter is our big, black, lab boy.  Rescued from Washington County, TN Animal shelter.  Baxter had been hit by a car and was extremely under weight when Baxter came in to our rescue.  He also had a injured leg which we were told would require a 600.00 surgery by the shelter vet.  However, after being evaluated by our vet we were told simple rest would do the trick.  Baxter is now all better and ready for his own home where he will be loved and cared for furever!

 Baxter is approximately 2 years old, UTD on shots, Neutered, and Heartworm negative.  He is great with other dogs and ignores cats.  We do not recommend him around small children, only because he is very clumsy and will step on feet and occasionally put his feet on your shoulder.  Baxter does require lots of space and/or fenced in yard.  He DOES NOT like to be left outside and will bark the entire time.  He likes to be with his people so Baxter is not suited to be an outside dog.  He came to us crate trained and house trained, however, he does have on occasional accident when he just cannot wait any longer.  He will let you know when he is about to go outside.  Baxter DOES NOT approve of car rides and is quite frankly goes crazy in the car.  It's recommended he travel in a crate only.  Baxter also likes to bark and makes a fantastic guard dog.  But don't consider him if you don't have understanding neighbors.  He only barks if he does hear something or if he is left outside alone.

Jasper was rescued by a DREAMS volunteer from an abusive,

neglectful, desperate situation.  He was being choked by his tie out,

had no food, no water, and no shelter.  Jasper loves other dogs but

loves his humans most of all.  He is NOT an outside dog but rather

prefers to be inside with his people.  He seems to ignore cats for the

most part, gets along well with other dogs, and just an all around

good dog.  Smart too!!!  He is a German Shepherd/Jack Russell

Terrier Mix (yeah I know don't ask) and will be UTD on shots and

neutered prior to release.  He is approximately 4 months old and

would love to go home with YOU!  Email us at

MELBA

Found on the side of the road by a D and W vet, Melba is a wonderful and loving little girl.  She has beautiful coloring and is a little on the shy side, mostly because she is very confused about all the changes she has been through.  She has had her first round of shots, worming, ear mite treated, and will be spayed prior to release and fully vaccinated.  She is 4.5 months old and ready for her new and loving home.  Contact dreams.rescue@yahoo.com for an adoption application.

PUMPKIN

Hi my name is Pumpkin!!!  My Calico Mom, me, and my siblings were strays in a residential area.  After we were born Mom decided to move us to the home of this nice couple that started feeding and taking care of us!!!  Our foster parents couldn't take care of all 5 of us so me and my sister Blue are staying at D.R.E.A.M.S. & W.I.S.H.E.S. until we can find a forever home!!!!
 
 I am a beautiful young girl and very friendly and loving.  I used to be a loner at times but that has all changed now....I LOVE to be petted and if you talk to me sweet I will rub all over you or anything that's around!!!  I have a beautiful Tabby face!!!!  My body has some gray and white Tabby markings with a hint of orange throughout.  I would make someone a wonderful forever friend!  My birthday is April 6, 2006!!!!  Please contact us at dreams.rescue@yahoo.com if interested!

JINX

Jinx is a purebred Himalyan with lots of love to give.  He may be 6 years old but you would never know it.  If I had to describe my idea perfect cat, Jinx would be the role model!  Even though he has had a rough life and has been through three homes, he manages to grab the heart of everyone he meets.  If you want a cat who never gets up on furniture, cabinets, or bothers anything, Jinx is your man!  Email us at dreams.rescue@yahoo.com for an application on Jinx.  Because Jinx has been through so much, the application and interview process for him will be stringent...we want to make sure when and if Jinx leaves us again, he will be in his furever home!

ABBEY

Dear future family, My name is Abbey and I was rescued by a D.R.E.A.M.S.
member from death row in a local shelter, along with my 3 newborn
kittens.  I have been a great mother and all of my kittens have found
homes and now it's my turn.  Since they have left, I have become
healthier and I have been spending my time getting used to the other
cats.  I think I have done well considering all the changes I have been
though.  Mom says I have the most beautiful eyes and the most unusual
feeling fur.  Mom says my fur feels like mink, even though it's not very
long.  I am very tiny and petite and just a kitten myself really.  I had
my kittens at approx. 8 months of age.  Now that they have homes, I am
ready for my furever family too!  Could this be you?  I will be spayed
on December 4th and I am UTD on shots, ear mite treated, wormed, and
